In the strikingly beautiful seaside town of Llandudno is Wales’ leading gallery of contemporary art – MOSTYN. Topped with a landmark gold spire, in 2010 it completed an expansion in which old and new buidlings are integrated in a stunning design by architect Dominic Williams.

Funky Aardvark is a Community Interest Company based in Chester. Its an artists hub spread across 2 premises. 51 or “Area 51″ is the makers space where the Attic Artists reside, meet and have access to wonderful equipment, including a lazer cutter, 3D printer and Kiln’s.

Caroline has moved her workshop to the first floor at Area 51 and is now selling work at the wonderful new Funky Aardvark shop at 61 Bridge Street. Art & Craft for everyone, Funky Aardvark offer free tea and coffee and have amazing gallery spaces showing a great variety of exhibitions all year round. The shop has work from over 60 makers across many disciplines, Jewellery, Ceramics, Cards, Clothes, Photography, Paintings, Textiles. Its a great place to visit for unusual gifts or to relax and hang out, there’s also courses available, including pottery, felt making and life drawing! Art & Crafts for everyone!

When visiting the Lake District on a short break away, Caroline discovered OCG.

This is a stunning independent gallery, established in 1994, The Old Courthouse Gallery has evolved into one of the largest independent contemporary arts galleries in the north of England.

The iron work decor of the gallery has been beautifully designed, made and installed by Chris Brammall  which alone is well worth a visit. The gallery displays across three floors, the best in contemporary British art and craft by some of the countries leading and up and coming designer makers, the emphasis being on high quality craftsmanship and individuality.

DSC_0007Caroline is delighted to be selling with OCG, she is currently suppling her “Autumn Leaves” collection which combines Silver, Copper & Brass to create interesting and unusual contrast of colours. Customers have commented on how versatile this range is as the colours suit most people’s skin tones and are easy to wear with many outfits and styles.

Old Courthouse Gallery have a beautiful and unusual Jewellery display area with a wide selection of designers on offer. Caroline highly recommends a visit to this little gem of a gallery, set in the busy market town of Ambleside, surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Lake District this is the perfect place to escape to, enjoy country walks, and relax!

Caroline supplys her mixed metals collection “Something Old…Something New”, “Jingly Jangly” and a limited edition of her “Autumn Leaves Collection” to Kriket Broadhurst’s beautiful jewellery studio in the heart of the delightful seaside town of Beaumaris, on Angelsey, North Wales.

The area steeped in history and Welsh culture is well worth a visit and while you’re there be sure to visit Kriket in the studio. Beaumaris Jewellery Studio has a selection of the finest Contemporary Jewellery from local designer makers; Angela Evans, Jane Fairbairn, Karen Williams, Sara Lois and recent graduate & workshop assistant Lora Wyn as well as Kriket’s work that includes handmade ceramic beads and sea glass.

Caroline is working closely with these jewellers as they come together to form Cywaith Gemwaith Gogledd Cymru CGGC (North Wales Jewellers Collective) which launched at the 2013 Eisteddfod in Denbigh.
